        At Veatch Carlson, we have a select group of attorneys primarily devoted to defending claims against public entities across the state of California.         Our government liability attorneys have the skill and experience to represent government entities, law enforcement officers, sheriffs, deputies, and other government employees in claims related to civil rights. Often these cases constitute accusations of sexual harassment, discrimination, physical abuse, or the deprivation of liberty and freedom.

        Many of the civil and government liability cases handled by the attorneys at Veatch Carlson are litigated in the federal courts. However, we have the skill and knowledge to handle Governmental Tort Claims Act and civil rights claims brought in state courts as well.  These include cases arising from dangerous conditions of public property, employment issues, the Department of Children and Family Services, and a wide variety of other tort cases that arise in the government context.
