CLARA L. PORTER attended Amherst College where she majored in the Classics. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While there, Clara was an associate editor of the USF Maritime Law Journal and a first-round finalist in USF’s Advocate of the Year Competition. She is admitted to practice law in the State of California, in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Before joining Veatch Carlson, Clara was an associate at a civil litigation firm in San Francisco. She has handled all phases of litigation, including successful-bench trials, for a variety of civil matters involving small business litigation, commercial landlord/ tenant disputes, employment law and medical malpractice. ln addition to state and federal trial court litigation, Clara has drafted appellate briefs for the California Court
of Appeal and argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She joins the firm’s law and motion team.

In her free time Clara enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and DIY projects.
