ROBERT T. MACKEY graduated from the State University of New York in 1996 and thereafter completed his Juris Doctorate at the University of Quinnipiac, formerly the Bridgeport Connecticut School of Law, in 1999. He holds law licenses in New York, Connecticut and California.
Mr. Mackey began his career litigating serious personal injury cases on behalf of plaintiffs. He then brought that unique experience and perspective to the insurance defense firm of Early, Maslach and Rudnicki, where he tried many cases on behalf of those being sued, before joining Veatch Carlson. Since joining Veatch Carlson Mr. Mackey has continued representing those sued and has tried over 80 civil jury trials with a high rate of success.
In the past ten years, Mr. Mackey’s civil trials have included wrongful death claims, complicated surgical cases and many traumatic brain injuries claims where some of California’s top plaintiffs lawyers have sought seven and eight figure verdicts.
Mr. Mackey is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) and has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) since 2008.
